4. Adaptation of aviation displays to night vision goggles (NVG)

   Night vision goggles are widely used in modern aviation.

   To eliminate the background illumination that interferes with the operation of the NVG, it is obligatory to refine the in-cab lighting equipment of aircraft, including aviation displays - MFI.

   To solve this problem, night vision filters are used.

   Our company can offer three types of IR cut filters to ensure MFI compatibility with NVG:

1) a full format NVIS filter on a glass substrate with a diagonal up to 15", which size is the same as the screen of a display.

2) a miniature NVIS filter on a glass substrate for adaptation of built-in illumination unit LEDs.

3) a NVIS filter on a flexible substrate for of built-in illumination unit.

   Typical transmission and optical density spectra NVIS filters are demonstrated in Fig. 1 and 2, general characteristics in table 1.
